This development project established in 1976 is situated in the rural north west of the country. It has a 100-bed hospital with obstetric gynaecological surgical medical and paediatric departments. It includes disability work a training school for midwives nurses and community workers community development work a research hub and an English-medium school up to age 16.
This is a senior position in the organization. The Finance Director is responsible for the provision of efficient effective and high quality integrated financial services to all components of LAMB. The Finance Director works closely with other department directors and program managers to fulfil the goals and objectives of the project. The Finance Director is accountable for the financial operations of LAMB to include the development of a financial strategy financial numbers tied to that strategy and the on-going development of monitoring control systems designed to preserve LAMBs assets.
The Finance Director is responsible for the accounting operations of LAMB working with and through national staff to produce accurate financial reports and increasing understanding of a system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk enhance the accuracy of LAMBs reported financial results and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and international financial reporting standards. The position is responsible for planning executing and reporting on operational financial regulatory and compliance (internal and external audits).
