About the Middle East and North Africa
The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) is home to more than 800 distinct people groups. Three of the world’s major religions – Judaism, Christianity, and Islam – originated here, making it a hub for numerous holy sites. Today, the majority faith is Islam. With rising human migration, persecution, and geopolitical conflict in the last decade, this region is in need of sustained prayer and Christian workers eager to use their skills to meet community needs.
Pray for the Middle East and North Africa
Pray for peace and stability in this region.
Pray for the resolution of geopolitical conflict and the protection of locals and expats living in these lands. Pray for God to grant leaders wisdom and raise up peacemakers.
Pray for refugees and other displaced peoples.
Many of these individuals have endured tremendous hardship and trauma. Pray for God to sustain and guide the health care workers, counselors, social workers, and other professionals ministering to them.
Pray for a strong, unified Church.
Ask the Lord to strengthen and sustain His Church in this region, and to empower local churches as they serve their local communities.
Pray for more laborers.
As economic disparities increase and human migration constrains local resources, this region is in need of skilled professionals. Pray for God to raise up the right people to meet these needs.
