Our History
Serving like Christ
Here at Interserve, sending people to serve holistically isn’t a new strategy. It’s what we’ve done for more than 170 years.
Collaboration is in our DNA
Now an international fellowship with 14 offices around the world, Interserve carries on the legacy of two organizations launched in the mid- 19th century with a shared vision: to meet the physical and spiritual needs of women in South Asia.
As the years went by, the work of these organizations expanded into other regions – but their commitments to holistic ministry, interdenominational cooperation, and making Christ known in the hardest places remained. After decades of working in tandem to accomplish similar goals, the two finally merged in 1976 to deepen their impact to the glory of God.
