Want to learn more about serving abroad before committing long-term? Our 2-3 week NextGen trips are a unique opportunity to explore cross-cultural work up close. Alongside a small group of young adults from various countries, you’ll step outside of your comfort zone and dive into a local culture. Under the guidance of our long-term workers, you’ll watch what God’s doing locally, learn about the culture, and participate in various activities to support local teams.

Along the way, you’ll have opportunities to ask long-term workers questions about how God led them to serve abroad, how they integrate their work and faith, and how they use their skills to transform communities. Additionally, you’ll have opportunities to build relationships with locals, walk with mentors, and explore how your current or future profession could fit into the Interserve community.

Locations

Placements are often available in the following regions. We’ll work with you to match your specific skills and interests to one that’s the best fit. For security, we share specific locations after screening.

Duration

Some placements may have a more fixed duration; others are rather flexible. We’ll talk with you to determine how long you’d like to serve and help you find a placement that’s the right fit.
