Sami enjoys telling stories and developing content to glorify God and transform lives and communities. As communications director, she oversees Interserve USA’s internal and external communications efforts to foster deeper relationships within the Interserve community, send more workers overseas, and advance the Great Commission.
Prior to joining Interserve in 2024, Sami served as a public relations specialist in Raleigh, N.C. Working with nonprofit leaders, educators, and more, she wrote and edited content to help organizations accelerate and achieve their strategic goals. Previously, she developed leaders and mentored college students internationally in South Asia and at Duke University in Durham, N.C. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
